Hi, I'm Chris Sparling.
I'm Chairman of Tiny, the holding company I co-founded with Andrew Wilkinson in 2013. We buy great software businesses and give them a permanent home. Today we own more than 30 companies, including Dribbble, Letterboxd, AeroPress, and We Work Remotely.
Before Tiny, I spent years in tech as an operator and CFO, most notably at MetaLab. I've also co-founded several SaaS and digital services startups along the way.
A few milestones I'm proud of:
- 2013: Co-founded Tiny with Andrew Wilkinson in Victoria, BC.
- 2019: Took WeCommerce, one of Tiny's companies, public on the TSX:V.
- 2023: Merged WeCommerce back into Tiny and became Chairman of the combined company.
- 2024: Received the DEYA Distinguished Entrepreneur of the Year Award.
Most of my day is spent guiding strategy across Tiny's portfolio, supporting our leadership teams, and finding the next great software business to acquire. I also still occasionally build things from scratch, the entrepreneurial itch never really goes away.
I live in Victoria, British Columbia, and try to spend as much time as I can outside with friends and family.
